How it Works

1. The sun heats a solution in the rooftop solar collectors
2. The heated solution is pumped through the heat exchanger in the hot water tank
3. The heat exchanger heats the water in the hot water tank and the solution recirculates back to the rooftop solar collectors, where the cycle continuously repeats
4. The heated water in the hot water tank is now ready for use in the home

Tax Credit

• All VELUX solar collectors have been certified by the SRCC (Solar Rating and Certification Corporation). This means that VELUX solar collectors and solar water heating systems may qualify you for State and Federal Tax credits and incentives.
• The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) extended the 30% federal tax credit for the purchase and installation of residential solar water heating systems through the year 2016. In addition, the ARRA also removed the $2,000 benefit cap that was in affect prior to 2009.

RACK MOUNTED COLLECTOR SYSTEMS

• Includes solar collectors, collector racks, solar tank, and all other solar system components
• Mount on top of the roof using special rack mounting hardware
• Available in either a flat roof version or a parallel to the roof version
• Flat roof rack, with adjustable pitch, allows for the installation of our collectors on roofs with a pitch less than 15°.
• Parallel to the roof rack, with fixed pitch, provides top mount fastening capability for metal roofs or other roofing materials that may not be feasible for our roof integrated collectors.

DAYLIGHT COMBINATION SYSTEMS

• The only combination solar/skylight solution on the market
